April 25, 2009 Koh Samui Thailand is now officially anointed into the jet set traveler’s circuit with the massively successful Grand Opening White Party at Nikki Beach Saturday night.

VIP guests flew in from around the region to be greeted by dancing elephants with white silk sash embroidered with Nikki Beach infamous teepee logo and posed for VIP guests to do a photo and video opportunity bringing good luck to all.

Then guest were welcomed with a Bacardi Mojito a signature of Nikki Beach worldwide as they walked down the picturesque reflecting pool accenting the mammoth copper dome embossed open roof from Bali.

“I have never seen so many beautiful people in one place nor attended a party quite like this. Then if that was not enough like magic appeared Mike and jeniya Penrod as they posed with me for a photo and I was truly star stuck,” states Tracey Higney Fort Lauderdale Florida.

James Bond Premier Event Raises More than $10,000 for Rotary Hurricane Relief Fund

PROVDENCIALES, Turks & Caicos Islands – November 17, 2008 – The Turks & Caicos played host to a unique movie premier event last week that rivaled the best that Hollywood could offer as several local businesses created a glitzy fund raiser around the opening of the new James Bond thriller, Quantum of Solace. Hosted by Jai’s, LRaye Cinema and Nikki Beach, with support from the Wine Cellar and Executive Tours, the event drew more than two hundred generous patrons who helped to raise more than $10,000 for the Rotary Club of Providenciales Hurricane Relief Fund.

The evening began with a glamorous red carpet reception at Jai’s showcase store in the Regent Village, where finely attired guests sipped signature Bond cocktails and browsed the special collection Omega and Swatch watches that debuted specially for the movie. The highlight of the evening was the raffle of a special 007 edition Omega watch that is featured in the new movie. Guests also had a chance to bid on VIP upgrade packages that included a Nikki Beach limousine ride to the theatre and a chance to sit in the exclusive sky box at the cinema.

From Jai’s the guests were whisked off the LRaye Cinema for the special advanced viewing of the latest 007 action adventures. The movie, which opened in North American theatres a day later, thrilled the packed theatre of Bond fans.

The evening ended at Nikki Beach where the crowd danced and socialized to the wee hours at the resort’s famous high-energy beachside bar. Panama Reports UK Visitor Boom

Panama expects to have doubled last year’s UK arrivals figures by the end of this year.

Last year, 8,000 Britons visited the Central American country; this year, 7,400 had already done so by the summer.

Panama’s tourism sector grew 24% to become the country’s number one industry last year.

Hotel development is proceeding rapidly, fuelled by tax-free inducements until 2015.
In September, there were 104 new hotel projects under way in Panama City alone, and investment in recent years has totaled several billion dollars.

“Investment in real estate and hotels in Panama is more than in Central America and the Caribbean combined,” said Carl-Frederik Nordstrum, deputy general administrator of the Authority of Tourism Panama.

However, he insisted that Panama would not become “another Cancun”.

“We realize we have to control development. The biggest landowners in Panama are the Indian tribes and they know how to look after the land. Our plans have been sanctioned by the World Tourism Organization,” he said.

The tourism authority invested 30% of its total marketing budget in Europe in 2008, a proportion it plans to repeat in 2009.

Speaking at WTM, Nordstrom said the UK market was particularly important for Panama, with 20% of the properties at the forthcoming Nikki Beach Resort & Residences, for example, having been bought by Brits.

Fam trips for UK agents and operators are planned for 2009.
